Sarah is my name and by day I am a Social Worker specializing in geriatrics.
The
remainder of my life is spent mothering, performing wifely duties, exercising,
weight watcher-ing, reading, painting, cooking, (not sewing), swimming, playing
board and card games. I love to grow a vegetable garden, make tomato sauce and
salsa and canning them. Every June I pick about 15 pounds of strawberries and
take them home to make jam. I love a good mini-series especially those of the
mystery genre.
I'm not much for confrontation but I've got an opinion on just
about everything.
I attended Slippery Rock University earning a BSW, then
continuing to work on a Master's in Educational Psychology.
The U.S. Army
Reserves is where I met my hubby (Dik), after serving 6 years, I'd had
enough.
We have two children, a daughter MLM who will be 3 in May and our son
BTM who turns 7 in June.
In the past we've faced a year of unemployment, had
to sell a house we loved and labored over for a whole lot less than we paid for
it and have loved each other through it all.
As for the general stuff; my
favorite color is yellow (until recently it was red), my favorite food is
cheese, fall is my season of choice, I prefer the ocean to the mountains, my
taste in music varies greatly, I love hair dye and color my gorgeous red hair
too often, my love of make up is not always evident and my fashion sense is more
than flawed.
I maintain a blog about the things and people I love, you can
check it out at http://lovenailpolish.blogspot.com/
